                                                          How to renew your Oakland ID
  1. Click the appointment link below to schedule an online appointment via Zoom to renew your Oakland ID or click the self-renewal button above to initiate the renewal process for your Oakland ID. 

  2. On your Zoom appointment you will be required to present your expired Oakland City ID 

  3. Present a current proof of address in the City of Oakland from the approved list of acceptable documents. See the REQUIREMENTS page for the complete list. Please make sure your name is listed in the proof of address document. If you are using a proof of address document in the name of your spouse, parent or legal guardian, a legal document establishing the familial relationship is required at time of renewal (marriage certificate, birth certificate, adoption/legal guardianship documents, declaration of domestic
    partnership)

  4. Pay the renewal fee: 
                                         Adults 18+      $15.00
                                         Seniors 65+    $10.00
                                         Minors 17-      $10.00

  5. ​Credit and Debit card payments can be processed during your Zoom appointment. If you are not able to pay with a Credit or Debit card, you can mail in your payment via certified mail. Money Orders only, no cash or personal checks are accepted.

  6. Your new Oakland ID card will be mailed to your home address

  1. Para renovar su Oakland ID presione el botón de autorenovación para completar su solicitud de renovacion del Oakland ID usted mismo; o si prefiere navegue a la parte inferior de la página para programar una cita en línea a travez de Zoom 

  2. El día de su cita deberá presentar su Oakland ID vencido. 

  3. También deberá presentar un comprobante vigente de su domicilio en la ciudad de Oakland del listado de documentos aprobados como prueba de domicilio. Para ver el listado completo de documentos aceptables navegue a la pagina REQUISITOS. Asegurese que su nombre este incluido en su comprobante de domicilio. Si esta utilizando un documento a nombre de su esposa/o, padres o guardian legal, debera presentar un documento legal que compruebe la relacion familiar (certificado de matrimonio, certificado de nacimiento, documentacion de adopción o tutela legal, declaración de asociación doméstica)

  4. ​Cancele el costo de renovación:

                                                             Adulto Mayor 65+   $10.00 
                                                             Menor de edad 17-  $10.00

  5. Pagos con tarjeta de crédito o débito seran procesados durante su cita. Si no le es posible cancelar con tarjeta de crédito o débito, podrá enviar su pago por correo certificado. Solamente se aceptan Money Orders.
